3D CAD Engineering & Modelling

3D CAD allows for exact representations to be created at an early stage and the rendering of these models allows customer to see exactly what they are getting at an early stage of the design process.  A realistic rendering of a 3D model can often give a product team or prospective client a clearer vision of a conceptual design than a plotted drawing.

Sandesing engineering experience of the manufacture process (Often directly from 3D CAD tools) allows potential customer to seamlessly integrate our consultants into their own teams giving addition expertise or just extra horse power to ensure a job is done to specification and time.

Sandesign has extensive experience as trusted engineering advisers to a large and diverse customer base from OEM’s to growing businesses and professionals, across multiple industries including:

  • Manufacturing

  • Automotive and Transportation

  • Industrial Design and Consumer Products

  • Building Products and Equipment

  • Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC)

  • Media and Entertainment

Most of our Designs start in 3D CAD with drawings such as Manufacturing Drawings, exported as 2D so they can be printed on paper.   We only use 2D CAD (Autodesk AutoCad) for simple Mechanical & Electrical Drawings (MEP) as well as Schematics.

Creating everything in a 3D environment first is a more efficient technique to produce designs.  Also relevant is that changes to parts do not get carried out within the drawings but within the 3D CAD model which automatically flow changes to all linked parts, assemblies and drawings thus reducing the time to do changes.

The majority of our projects are carried out with Autodesk Inventor.

3D CAD drafting and modelling is one of the primary competencies of Sandesign Services. We have over 20 years of 3D CAD engineering experience working with Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks and I-DEAS.

Just about all new products today are designed in a 3D CAD environment and for good reason. If it can be imagined, it can be modelled and early 3D creation allows early visualisation of systems allowing customers to see exactly what they getting before any production work.

Sandesign has experience of most types of modelling from precise miniature machinery to large fabrication and everything else in between. Rest assured, Sandesign have the experience to efficiently make your models accurate and robust and right for production.
